The first Chinese head of the University of Hong Kong, Rayson Huang Li-sung, has died. He was 94.

Dr Huang took his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Hong Kong in 1938, before going on to undertake doctoral research at Oxford University and post-doctoral research at the University of Chicago. He then taught at universities in Malaysia and Singapore.
