A message from the Foreign Office__William Hague
London hosted the 2012 Olympic Games from 27 July to 12 August. We now look forward to hosting the Paralympic Games from 29 August to 9 September.
Altogether, the Games will involve more than 200 countries, over 10,500 Olympic athletes, more than 4,200 Paralympic athletes and over 14,000 officials.
We will keep you up-to-date with Olympic and Paralympic news from the FCO in our news centre.
In a video message, Foreign Secretary William Hague has offered a warm welcome to everyone attending or watching the Games.
